How will you make next year amazing?

While I’m still feeling sad from the past few weeks (when I lost a friend), I also know the importance of looking forward, while keeping loved ones in your heart.

This week I’ve been thinking of ways I can honour the people I’ve lost... and one of those ways is to make our lives as rich as we can, with them in mind.
Which got me thinking:

2020 is coming up... and I’ve decided it’s going to be AMAZING!

What a lucky-sounding year!

So I jotted down a few ways that will make 2020 amazing for me:

  1. Growing my business

  2. Being more my “true self”, and less led by my ego

  3. Doing a sports challenge (or maybe two?!)

  4. Possibly getting Invisaligns for my crooked, British teeth :) - something I’ve wanted to do for years

  5. Focusing on: my son, my friends, dear family members, self-care, and MYSELF (without sounding selfish. I have to take care of me, so I have the resources to give to other people.)

How about you – how will you make 2020 amazing?

(Or if the idea of “amazing” isn’t relevant at this time... what could you put into your year to make it fun?)

It’s true what they say:

  • If we make plans, they’re more likely to happen.

  • If we write them down, they’re even more likely to happen.

  • And if we share them with other people, they’re even more likely to happen!

So let me know... what would make 2020 a good year for you?

What will you plan for the coming year, to start the next decade with a bang?

Travel... getting rid of mental baggage... decluttering... taking a course... learning a new skill...?

Have a think, and then note down some action steps you can take to get there.

Some of my examples, to get you started...

  1. For my self-care, I’m going to schedule in one thing a week just for me. No chores, no responsibilities... just me taking time out.

  2. Being connected to my "true self” means:

    • Saying no to things that don’t work for me;

    • Speaking up when I’m frustrated; and

    • Doing less things for my ego (checking Facebook likes or newsletter subscribers, etc...)

Over to you: how do you want 2020 to look? And how can you make it happen?

You got this ;)

Good question!

I'm a pretty good reader, but I tend to stay within my comfort zone. I'd like to broaden my horizons, so in 2020 I will read a non-fiction book outside my normal shelves at the bookstore. Maybe this year I'll learn more about psychology or finances (or, haha, the psychology of finances!) or South America or religion or, yikes, politics!

I think reading broadly will make me more open-minded while at the same time help me solidify my own beliefs.

Hey Priscilla. I love this... what a great idea! Lol, yes maybe a book on financial psychology! :)

I too love broadening my mind and learning new things. Who knows what new interests you might discover - I'm excited to hear! Thanks for sharing; what a great plan for next year!
