Today I want to share about my business journey. Specifically, I want to show you how long things can take.
Because we massively underestimate this. I know so many people who give up on their dreams because it’s taking longer than they think.
But good things do take time!
Relationships; friendships; having a baby; getting a degree... they’re not overnight things.
So let’s rewind five years, to the Claire of Yesteryear... :)
In 2015 I left my corporate job, set up a basic website, and took on a contract role to earn money. I also:
I’ll let you know if that one makes it to air! :)
Why am I telling you this?
I PROMISE you it's not to show off. It’s to show you how long things take.
To show how seemingly small steps – attending an event or conference, for example – can pay off in ways you never imagined.
And to share that as well as the points above, I hustled.
(I also procrastinated a HEAP, and debated throwing it all in from time to time ;)
Because it’s not always easy.
But that doesn’t mean it’s not worth it.
If it really means something to you, don’t just give it six months before you throw in the towel.
If you’re thinking of attending an event and the only thing stopping you is fear, be brave and give it a try.
If there’s something you’re longing to do... why not go for it?
A longer post from me today (apologies). But I can’t stress enough that everyone starts somewhere.
But we definitely won’t be where we want to if we don’t take little steps towards it.
What have you done over the past few years - and how far have you come?
PS – There's still a couple more days to register for our next accountability program, woo hoo!
