This one kinda speaks for itself... why should we keep going, when pursuing a goal can be so tough? So often goals can feel pointless. You feel like you’re going round in circles, and it’s tempting (and easier) to watch TV or hang out on social media. [Not that there's anything wrong with these things. It's just: is this how you want to spend your life?]
So why should we keep going? What are the benefits of getting out your comfort zone? Here are ten reasons I think are important. So if you need a reminder in your life, print them out and stick them on your wall. Because at the end of the day, you’re not gonna look back with pride at the number of TV shows you watched, or the number of Facebook friends you had (how many of them have you seen in 5-10 years, anyway?) You’ll be looking back at the times you pushed yourself... the things you didn’t think were possible but that you did anyway... and the treasured people who were there with you along the way. Amiiiiright? So, here we go: ten reasons to keep going with your goal...
I hope this list helps you, and gives you the gentle push you need to get moving towards your dream. Now... who’s up for doing one tiny task with me to get us closer to our goals?! Here to support you with your goal-chasing :) Claire ❤

I think of reason number one often. It works in little situations, like exercising for 40 minutes, and it works in big situations, like college students struggling to get through school. Good post!

Thanks Priscilla - so true! I totally agree. The time's gonna pass anyway, so how do we want to spend it?!

What if you believe in your dream and in yourself, feel your dream so strong that it hurts, stay proactive and every day do something to move closer to your goal, but your dream just keeps staying A DREAM? When you look around and see your peers with the same set of skills moving up faster and you just don't advance. Sometimes, it feels very discouraging.

Hi Chelsea, this is a great question, and it depends on a number of factors. I totally hear you that it can be discouraging. But remember we don't know everything about a situation - so wherever you can, try not to compare. I don't know your dream so I can't speak specifically to your situation, but with me, in the early days, one of my coaching classmates had set up an amazing website, and I felt really amateur compared to her... then I found out that her aunt was a marketing and website WHIZZ. You don't know what help other people get, or who they know. And we'll always have that in life. So concentrate on what you love about YOUR dream, get support around you, keep taking little steps week by week... and know that it will happen. It could be a good thing that it's taking time - you could be going through some learning that will really help you for when your dream takes off. Sometimes I even think that the Universe is testing me: how much do I really want this?! :)
