Following your dream is selfish, right? Hell no!

Is following your dreams selfish?

This is an important question.

Putting yourself first… working on things for yourself… spending time figuring out what you want to do in life and how you can get there...

Isn’t that just about as goddamn selfish as you can get?!​

Well, yes.

Maybe.

But also… no! :) 

This is the way I see it:

Is it selfish… 

If you inspire someone else to start living their own dream?

Is it selfish… 

If your family, friends – maybe even your kids – see you pushing yourself, going for a dream, and living the life you really want to (and maybe becoming happier in the process)?

Is it selfish… 

To create something that helps other people?

I think you know the answers to those questions. 

So stop giving yourself a hard time.

It is not selfish to go after your dreams.

It is not selfish to start living life the way you want to.

As long as you do so with respect and consideration for the people around you.

So give up the self-bashing.

Keep going on what you’re doing.

You don’t know who you’re inspiring right now as you pursue your dreams.
