Today I want to share about my business journey. Specifically, I want to show you how long things can take.
Because we massively underestimate this. I know so many people who give up on their dreams because it’s taking longer than they think.
A spot of reflection...
Last year was tough for me, in a number of ways.
I’m not going to talk about everything that went on; perhaps I’ll cover it in a future post - and some of it I’ve mentioned already.
A friend of mine back home is going through a really tough time right now.
And as I live abroad, I haven't been able to do much to support her.
I was looking at my son today, and thinking how much of being a mom is about balance.
I was watching him play, as he lined his cars up and made little “brrm, brrm” noises, and I was filled with an overwhelming sense of love.
And other times - as I’m sure you can understand - it’s super tough.
Sometimes I write a newsletter I’m really proud of: I’m pleased with the content, and confident it will help people.
And I might get zero response to those newsletters!
My in-laws stayed with us for three weeks over Christmas... and while it was lovely to see them, having guests for three weeks is tiring!
I'm starting this post with a sad tone, but there's an inspiring message I want to get across.
Over the course of this year I’ve unsubscribed from a ton of newsletters.
Some I didn’t read any more; others I had outgrown.
But some were bloggers whose work I used to love!
Today I want to share a simple exercise to help you feel good.
A friend told me about it, and I think we can all benefit from it.
